🌟 Friendly Grounds Play Area — Code of Conduct 🌟
Welcome to our play area! To ensure a fun, safe, and welcoming space for everyone, please read and follow our guidelines:

Supervision

• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult (18+) at all times.
• Staff are present to maintain a safe environment but are not responsible for childcare.

Safety First

• NO SHOES policy. For Health & safety reasons shoes must be removed before entering the play area. Socks must be worn by both children and adults. Socks are available for purchase should you need it. Shoes can be stored in designated area by the entrance to the play area.
• No outside food, drinks, or chewing gum inside the play area.
• Only age-appropriate children (0-6 years) (as per the designated age group) are allowed in the play area.
• Please avoid bringing sharp objects, toys from home, or valuables into the play zone.

Storage for Prams, Bags & Coats

• Prams and large bags must be stored in the designated Pram Parking area located upstairs.
• Jackets and smaller bags may be placed in the storage area within the playroom.
• Please note that while our storage areas are monitored and designed for convenience, they are not secured or locked. We strongly advise against leaving valuables.
• In the event of a lost item, please speak to a member of the Friendly Grounds team as soon as possible.
• Friendly Grounds accepts no liability for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Tidying Up After Play

• While our team will clean and sanitise the play area between sessions, we kindly ask parents and carers to encourage their children to help tidy up before leaving.
• Please return all toys, balls, jigsaw pieces, Lego, and other play items to their designated areas.
• This small act helps us keep the space safe, organised, and ready for the next families to enjoy.
• At the end of your play session, we kindly ask all families to leave the play area promptly so our team can clean and prepare the space for the next group.
• To make transitions smoother for children, we will play a cheerful “Goodbye Song” as a friendly signal that it’s time to tidy up and get ready to leave.

Respect for Others

• Be kind and considerate—no rough play, pushing, or bullying.
• Please wait for your turn on equipment and share toys with others.
• Offensive language and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Health & Hygiene

• Do not enter the play area if your child is unwell (fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, contagious illness). We do have a flexible reschedule policy and would be happy to see you and your little one when you are feeling better.
• Encourage handwashing before and after play.
• Any accidents or spillages must be reported to a staff member immediately.
• Nappy changes should ALWAYS be conducted within the provided facilities.

Dogs at Friendly Grounds

• Friendly and well-behaved dogs are very welcome in the café area.
• However, for the safety and comfort of all children, dogs are not permitted inside the play area.

Friendly Grounds Right to Intervene

• We reserve the right to ask anyone not following the rules to leave the play area for the safety and comfort of others.

Booking Terms

• Play sessions are 90 minutes long and must be pre-booked via our website.
• Tickets are required for every person attending (both adults and children). The only exception is babies under 6 months who are accompanying a paying sibling.
• Please arrive on time for your session. Late arrivals cannot be given extra time as we must maintain the schedule for all guests.
• If you are unable to attend your booking, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can offer the space to another family.
• All bookings are NON-REFUNDABLE & FINAL.
• Walk-ins are welcome if space allows, but priority is always given to pre-booked families.
• No food or drinks are permitted in the designated play areas. A separate seating area is available for eating and drinking.
• We kindly ask guests to enjoy only food and drinks purchased from Friendly Grounds while on our premises. Outside food is not permitted, with the exception of baby food for infants.
• Birthday cakes and other celebratory items are only allowed if you have booked a party package with us.
• Friendly Grounds reserves the right to cancel or amend bookings in unforeseen circumstances (e.g., maintenance, staff shortages).
